Pursue the Industry 4.0 strategy through the deep integration of digital technologies into industrial processes. The introduction of an advanced Supply Chain planning and scheduling system is a cornerstone of Florim’s digital transformation strategy.
Solution
The implementation of Compass10 at FLORIM, integrated with the SAP R/3 ERP system, supported the company’s technological development strategy. The software is used in production to:
- Determine production quantities for each finished product to meet sales forecasts, customer order portfolios, and stock targets.
- Perform finite capacity analyses and “what-if” scenario simulations by adjusting key management levers.
- Generate optimized production plans in seconds, ensuring efficient production sequences and resource availability.
Results Achieved
Between 2010 and 2014, Florim achieved:
- A ~35% reduction in finished goods inventory while maintaining high service levels (88.8% of orders shipped within the month and 81.4% of orders immediately available from stock).
